Hi everyone, just a short update, everything going great with the Wig Bank. Please read the below what our Harry is going to be doing.
On the 25th April I’ll be fighting whitecollar for MetUp Uk at The Point, Sunderland for a reason very close to home.
Last year on the 20th April 2025 my mam passed away to a long, hard battle with breast cancer. She had been through it all from getting the all clear and ringing the bell to being diagnosed with secondary breast cancer and further metastatic secondary breast cancer. It didn’t all go to plan she shielded during Covid had to take extra precautions and had numerous infections whilst undergoing treatments like chemo therapy and radiotherapy. She took it all on the chin and found other ways to be strong for everyone around her and in the community. She helped set up different cancer support groups all whilst battling cancer and had the ambitions of opening a wig bank, which was carried out in memory by my dad. My mam was all about helping where she could she would go to lengths far and wide to help anyone so I thought I should carry that on for her.
Metup UK is the UK's only metastatic breast cancer patient advocacy charity. Led by patients, for patients. Focused on the unmet needs of people living with metastatic breast cancer (MBC).
Tickets are on sale this week if anyone fancies a good night out raising money for a good cause.
