You are invited to our Annual Harriet Tubman Unity Walk on March 7, 2026 : Celebrating Legacy of Freedom, Justice, and Community. This inspiring event, now in its 5th year in Pomona, honors the legacy of Harriet Tubman, a champion of freedom and justice.
The walk will cover just over one mile, beginning at the Alliance Community Cultural Center, heading north to the iconic Harriet Tubman statue in Lincoln Park for a time of reflection. This powerful statue, crafted by renowned sculptor Manuelita Brown, was installed with great care by Spectra Company, a leader in historic restoration and preservation.
Participants will then head back to the Alliance Community Cultural Center in Downtown Pomona for a celebration featuring cultural activities, refreshments, and a chance to connect with community members.

Time: Rally begins at 10:00am; Harriet Tubman Walk begins at 10:30am

Shuttle services to and from event locations are generously provided by Pomona Valley Transit Authority (PVTA), ensuring accessibility for all attendees.
Again this year, the African American Advisory Alliance is joined by members of @girltrek, the organization that initiated this annual walk 13 years ago. Their dedication to promoting health, wellness, and community empowerment has been instrumental in keeping Harriet Tubman’s legacy alive.
The walk is free and open to all ages. Community members are encouraged to bring friends and family to this meaningful event celebrating freedom, courage, and unity.
