Recommended for Intermediate Improvisers
In this 16-week class, students will the classic Harold Format! Based on making three distinct stories and then weaving them together, this format is go to for so many troupes for a reason. Focusing on scene work, character choices and the magic of call-backs, students will learn how to take a single suggestion, and turn it into a 20 minute cohesive piece of improvised comedy in the Harold format!
Classes take place Tuesdays from 7pm-9pm, August 11th - December 1th 2024, with multiple class performance through out. Including Thursday Night Jams and two Friday Night Feature slots, tbd. All at The Bird Comedy Theater in The Crossroads Arts District!
Taught by Bobby McCosky
Bobby McCosky is a comedian out of Kansas City, MO. For the past two years he has served as the General Manager of The Improv Shop - KC, where he both performed and was an instructor. Bobby is also a founding member/actor/musician/editor for Bird In The Middle . He is a former member of The KC Improv Company, where he was a performer, teacher and Education Director. Outside of comedy, Bobby spends most of his time studying entomology, playing Mega Man, or raising his newborn daughter, usually in the reverse order of the way we listed those.
