Are you interested in hearing about local genealogy, then please join us for our monthly meetings. This month’s presentation will be on a Revolutionary War soldier that fought in the Battle of Barbecue Church in what is now present day Harnett County. Next, an open discussion on local genealogy. Then part two of the meeting we will review and discuss the revision of the old groups Bylaws and plans for 2026. The Harnett County Genealogical Society meetings are held in the Harnett County Commons Area Building that is located in Lillington between the Health Department and Social Services. The Address is 309 W Cornelius Harnett Blvd. Lillington, NC 27546. Please use the front entrance.
Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month at 6:00pm and open to the public. Meetings normally last an hour and a half to two hours.
