The hip joint is one of the most important joints in the human body. Understanding the biomechanics of the hip joint, strengthening appropriately, and modifying when needed are all essential to keep the hips happy and healthy for a lifelong yoga practice. Through lecture, demonstration, and practice, you will learn how to support optimal health and safety of your hips. In this two-hour workshop, we will go through an overview of pelvis and hip anatomy, discuss common hip injuries and postures where they most commonly occur, talk about strengthening for injury prevention, and determine when modifications are needed. This class is appropriate for all levels of students.Price- $40
