Harmonise your Energy: A Yin/Yang & Yoga Nidra Journey with Anna GronerusSaturday, 24 January, 3pm-5:30pm | €40
In this workshop we will explore how we can honour the gentle acceptance of Yin and the dynamic energy of Yang for a well-rounded, balanced practice. We will begin with meditation and breath awareness, and gentle somatic movements to connect to the body through the feeling of sensations. We will then start to bring a little bit more movement into the body with rounds of sun salutations and more dynamic/strengthening poses. We will incorporate light weights into parts of the sequences to help us strengthen and tone the entire body (the weight are optional and you can drop them at any time!).
The third part of the workshop will focus on Yin poses targeting the lower body, which have a meditative and calming quality. Here we will hold poses for a longer period of time, to release deeply held tension and cultivate a deeper connection with the breath. The workshop will end with a restorative sequence, letting the body be supported by props, followed by a Yoga Nidra practice during which you will be guided in to a 30 min deep consciousness relaxation, entering a state between wakefulness and sleep.
