Harmonies in May
A concert of delightful and accessible classical, popular and barbershop music to set the mood for Summer.
The musicians in our concert are:
Katy Kelly, a versatile Soprano, specialising in oratorio, opera & concert work. She has performed in the United States, won many prizes for her singing in Europe and is a regular performer in the National Concert Hall. Her CD, "A Few of My Favourite Sings" is available on all streaming platforms, including Spotify & Apple Music.
Insieme (Italian for “Together”), a chamber choir comprising about 30 male and female singers. Directed by Margaret McCabe, the choir performs a broad repertoire, spanning early music, contemporary choral works, arrangements of folk songs and popular music.
The SeaSharps, an all-male barbershop chorus from Portmarnock. They have been entertaining audiences for more than 30 years. Led by Denis O’Hora and musical director Rhiannon Owens Hall, they recently won the much-coveted Small Chorus Cup in the Barbershop Convention in Killarney.
The Mount Argus Singers, the church choir of Mount Argus Church. The choir is blessed with a wonderful array of singers who sing in groups and as solo cantors. The range of groups sing at different Masses on weekends and feast days such as the Feast of St Charles of Mount Argus, St Patrick’s Day and Holy Week. They also come together as a choir to sing at special Christmas and Easter celebrations, and this combined choir will perform select pieces for the concert.
