Harmon Sisters Film Festival Fundraiser 🎬 Quadruple Feature | $20 Admission
🍿 Popcorn, drinks & candy for sale
🎟️ Raffle tickets for fabulous prizes
What do an amusement park in the middle of the Arkansas River, 55,000 scammy white rabbits, and Wichita’s glamorous department store heyday have in common?
The answer is the brilliant, award-winning sister duo Sara Harmon and Charity Harmon.
Join us for an afternoon viewing featuring:
Color Me Wichita – A creative challenge exploring Wichita history through art.
For Your Amusement: The Wonderland Park on Ackerman Island – The rise and fall of Wichita’s first amusement park, built on an island in the Arkansas River.
Who Scammed Rajah Rabbit? – The unbelievable true story of the 55,000 white rabbits and a con man who duped a city.
Let's Talk Shop – A nostalgic, audience-favorite dive into Wichita’s golden age of department stores, showcasing Henry’s and Innes.
The Harmon Sisters don’t just tell Wichita history — they resurrect it. They dig up the weird, the glamorous, the forgotten, and the “wait, THAT happened here?” stories and turn them into smart, funny, joy-filled documentaries. Their films have won top Kansas honors at the Tallgrass Film Festival and the Doc Sunback Film Festival, and once you watch them, you’ll understand why.
This fundraiser helps them do more of it.
They currently self-fund their films while juggling full-time jobs. If you believe local history deserves to be preserved with creativity and heart — and that women filmmakers should be fully funded, not just applauded — this is your chance to help.
Come for the rabbits.
Stay for the nostalgia.
Get the inside scoop on the Harmon Sisters' next project.
Leave knowing you helped bring the next project to life.
And bring cash for raffle tickets. Because delightfully obscure Wichita history isn’t going to document itself. 🎥✨
