About this Event
Join us for Harmon Nature Meditation, a monthly outdoor gathering to connect with nature and community through mindfulness. With gentle guidance in sitting and walking meditation, we’ll cultivate presence, peace, and a deeper sense of belonging. All are welcome— no experience needed, just come as you are.
Event Timeline:
- Arrival, introduction, walk to meditation area
- 10 minutes of silent seated gently guided meditation
- 10 minutes of silent walking meditation
- 10 minutes of silent seated gently guided meditation
- Gratitude, walk back to parking lot, departure
Note: Please arrive 5 minutes before the start of the event. We will be leaving for the meditation area at 6 PM sharp.
What to bring:
There are logs to sit on in the meditation area. Consider bringing a mat, stool, camping chair, cushion, or something else to sit on for extra comfort. Bring layers for shifting weather, and sun protection such as a hat. We also recommend wearing long pants and/or sleeves for bug protection. Consider bringing water to drink.
What to expect:
We will be taking a short walk (less than 1/3 of a mile) to the meditation area. The meditation is hosted in a private space at Harmon, and requires entry through a slightly steep slope with some uneven terrain and loose, rocky footing. Depending on the time of the year, there may be some mosquitoes.
