Join us for New River Conservancy’s Volunteer Tree Planting Day at Hardin Creek on Saturday, January 24, 2026 (backup date 1.31.26)!📍 Meeting Location: Watauga High School (300 Go Pioneers Dr. Boone, NC, 36.21660710107134, -81.6509588772748328607).
🕙 Time: 10:00 a.m.
This volunteer event, co-sponsored by the New River Conservancy, , Trout Unlimited, NC Works, and the Town of Boone’s Sustainability Department will focus on planting native trees along Hardin Creek with the goal of reducing erosion and enhancing habitat for local wildlife.
👉 What to Bring:
Wear warm clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
Rubber boots or sturdy shoes
Work gloves, shovels, and garden shears, if available
Water and snacks
