Hardanger embroidery hails from the picturesque Norwegian region that inspired its name. For generations, local women have embellished their aprons, caps, and household linens with these intricate stitches. For this workshop, you will learn the basics of Hardanger embroidery. The first class on the 16th will be the stitches. If you do not finish, you can take it home and finish the stitching.
The second class on the 30th will be the cutting and finishing of the item. Please come to the second class with the instructed stitching done. The fee covers both times.
You will be able to choose your fabric color. Traditional Hardanger embroidery is done white on white or ivory on ivory, but you have a few options to make it how you would like.
In the comments for your order, please list the color you choose. White, Ivory, Peach, or Rose for the fabric. Shown is the Rose.
