Hard Light are proud to present another night of dark electronica for March 2025!Featuring our headline act (all the way from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne…)
The Scarlet Hour (10.10pm)
Synth-based darkwave duo The Scarlet Hour were formed in 2021 in the North East.
Fronted by darkly sardonic vocalist Tim, and backed by the brooding bass hooks from Mel, they deliver driving dystopian anthems that will soundtrack the apocalypse.
“...this will be one you’ll be spinning for some time to come.”
(Backseat Mafia)
“...an atmospheric misery-goth groove... impressively current and fresh” (The Goth / Post-Punk Revival Blog)
Definitely not to be missed!

Dots (9.20pm)
A dynamic electronic duo from Lancashire. Together they serve up a crazy cocktail of synth pop and early blues, mixing the sounds of Kraftwerk with the spirit of Hound Dog Taylor, topped with a generous sprinkling of humour!
Genre-bendingly bizarre? You bet.

Cheryl Holland Music (8.40pm)
Hailing from Brighouse, Cheryl is a multitalented singer-songwriter who will captivate you with her enchanting melodies and infectious beats.
“An undiscovered gem. She obviously has a great knack of writing songs and singing about the mundane things we all go through everyday, even somehow turning darker subjects like grief into a positive and uplifting slice of 90’s infused EDM.” (Camden EMOM, 05/09/24.)

With your compere extraordinaire (and first entertainer for the evening’s electronic excellence…)
A short Dark Stranger (7.30pm)
Poetic, pumping power pop provocation performed with passion.
"It’s the kind of joyous, opinion splitting madness that could only have come from the ever-fertile music scene in LS6. The music coming across like an indie-pop Pet Shop Boys while the lyrics have a Jarvis-esque sense of wit and absurdity.”
(Andy Brown, Louder Than War magazine.)
