For the first time ever Austrian Post Black Metal pioneers HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY will make their debut in Australia, November 2024.The captivating group of tranquil Black Metal will be supported by Depressive Black Metal group AUSTERE; both groups making their first ever appearances in the following cities; Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney
In the past decade, HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY have become pioneers of the post black metal movement, gained a significant worldwide following with “III: Trauma” and even entered the German charts on #4 with their latest album “Maere”.
Ever since their conception in 2011, the Austrian duo has drawn fans and critics deeper and deeper into the maelstrom of their melancholy, self-hate and anger, and toured relentlessly in Europe, Asia and North and South America. With M.S.‘s captivating guitar melodies and J.J.‘s lyrics, ridden with trauma, delirium and loss, their unique mixture of extreme metal and post rock has created an inescapable void.
Until 2024, AUSTERE (Conceived in 2005) had never played in their homeland until Austrian Black Metal band HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY requested they be included as main support for their debut tour of Australia.

AUSTERE BIOGRAPHY
Conceived by Desolate in 2005, Australian Depressive Black Metal project released their full length “Withering Illusions and Desolation” in 2007 after Sorrow joined the project which would solidify the pioneering sound of AUSTERE.
EPS, Splits and the second full length “To Lay like Old Ashes” were released shortly after before the band split in 2010 only to reform again in 2021.
In 2022 AUSTERE began playing their first live shows in Europe including Steelfest, Dark Bombastic Evening, Thronefest and Transcending Visions.
Until 2024, AUSTERE had never played on their homeland until Austrian Black Metal band HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY requested they be included as main support for their debut tour of Australia.
This was followed by releasing more singles, box sets and albums including “Corrosion of Hearts” and “Beneath the Threshold”.
The demand only grows more and more each moment for this musical force of bleakness and mysticism.
