Come and chat with community organisaitions, try something new and see what's happening around the Hawkesbury!
Spend your morning exploring information stalls in the Library, enjoy a light lunch on Gallery balcony, then get involved in a range of afternoon workshops. Plus a plant sale hosted by the Macquaire Towns Garden Club.

Bookings are essential for this FREE event. When registering, you can pre-book for the optional workshops OR sign up on the day.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Your attendance at events supported by Hawkesbury City Council may be digitally recorded through photographs and video. Images may be used for promotional purposes on council's websites, publications, social media or by newspapers.
  By attending this session, you agree to these terms. If you do not wish your image (or the image of your child) to be published, please notify staff before the event.

• By registering and attending this event, you are agreeing to comply with the Hawkesbury Library Service Patron Code Of Conduct.

• Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult to all Library activities.

• If you are unable to attend, please cancel your tickets as soon as possible. This will enable others to participate in the programme.

• Paid tickets are not transferable.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

• To receive a full refund, please cancel your ticket or notify the library 24 hours prior to the scheduled event. If less notice is given, a refund will not be issued.

• Refunds will not be given if participants change their mind, or simply forget to attend the event. For exceptional circumstances, refunds may be issued at the discretion of the Library Coordinator.

• A refund can take up to 7 working days to process after the event date (due to bank transfer times). Cash payment refunds can take up to 6 weeks to process.

Info: Discover the history of the Deerubbin Centre site with a historical tour of the grounds including the Old Hawkesbury Hospital mortuary. Limited capacity, pre-booking recommended.

Info: This introductory workshop will examine different forms of lace making including tatting, crochet, bobbin lace (torchon) or knitted lace. Students will be given the opportunity to try this new old skill. All material supplied.

Info: Learn the basics of how to strum a tune on a Ukulele.

Info: This Active Class provides a fun, cardio workout. It is designed specifically for seniors, focusing on exercises that cater to the unique needs of older adults.

Info: Get creative and crafty in the gallery with casual art making activities.

Info: Learn the fundamentals of chess at this beginner's class covering board setup, piece movements, interactions, checks, checkmate, openings, tactics and strategy.

Info: The Strength & Stretch Class aims to improve strength, balance and flexibility. It is designed specifically for seniors, focusing on exercises that cater to the unique needs of older adults.

Info: This beginner level workshop explains essential papercraft skills like stamping, cutting and decorating to help you create a personalized birthday card.
All materials are supplied.

Info: Move To Live is a low impact strength and balance exercise program targeted at individuals 50 years and older. This program will show you a few basic exercises to help improve muscle and bone health, posture, falls prevention and increase your general fitness level.
