Grimsby’s favourite summer festival is back and we’re making 2026 the best one yet!
Happening in Grimsby takes over downtown Grimsby Main Street for three days of live music, local vendors, food, kids activities, community spirit, and so much more. Best of all? It’s completely free and open to everyone.
Here’s a look at what’s happening each day:
🧑🌾 Thursday, June 18: Grimsby Farmers Market
We’re kicking off the weekend with the Grimsby Farmers Market right on Main Street. Shop local, grab some fresh finds, and ease into festival mode.
🎤 Friday, June 19: Grimsby Idol + Live Music
The energy picks up Friday evening with fun activations, two live bands on the Main Stage, and the highly anticipated Grimsby Idol finale — where our Top 5 compete live in front of the crowd for the title and a $500 Long & McQuade gift card. You don’t want to miss it.
🎉 Saturday, June 20: Last Day!
Saturday is a full day of Happening fun from morning until night. We’re talking Vendor Alley with local artisans and makers, Food Alley packed with food trucks and beverages, KidZone with activities for the little ones, fun activations throughout the day, all-day Main Stage entertainment, and two more bands closing out the night. This is the one.
