Hello fellow music lovers,
Together with my band we will present my debut EP. It’s going to be our biggest show ever. Prepare for an unforgettable night with special guests, give-aways and more. You don’t want to miss this!
The EP is called A Really Good Heart. It contains five songs with one theme in common: love. Though some of them are true love songs, others are about the importance of loving yourself, loving what you do and loving others, even when they oppose you. The lyrical inspiration came from my personal life (going after your dreams, meeting the love of your life). Musically I’ve been inspired by The Eagles, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams, Brad Paisley and Vince Gill.
Two of the songs were co-written. One with Amber Kamminga and one with Nina Lynn, both terrific songwriters. All the recordings were done with producer Nick Jongejan who also worked on songs for Roel van Velzen, Jada Borsato, Kimmy June, Sylvia Aimée, Deborah Parlor, Pieternel, Melanie Ryan and the list goes on and on. Drums were done by Ruben van der Velde who is also heard on the latest Daniël Lohues and Rob deKay albums. Pedal steel was done by André Sommer (Waylon).
What a journey it has been already. After selling my bar in 2022 I wrote the first song of the EP in December 2022. The first single was released last year and made it to the semi-final of the UK songwriting contest. We’ve been supported by fans through a crowdfunding campaign (Voordekunst) and sponsored by funds (Sena muziek productiefonds, Cultuurfonds Noord-Holland). Thanks!
Almost two years later we are releasing A Really Good Heart. We worked so hard on making this and you can celebrate the release with us! Do you like popsongs with a Nashville twist? Do you like a good concert? Buy your tickets while they’re hot!
