Today's Hanover Square Lunchtime Concert is given by pianist Connor Heraghty performing a programme to include Beethoven's 21st Piano Sonata 'Waldstein'.


Admission free with a retiring collection.


British concert pianist Connor Heraghty has performed as a soloist and chamber musician across prestigious venues throughout the UK and Europe. Concert venues in the UK include Wigmore Hall, Milton Court Barbican, St Martin-in-the-Fields, St James’s Piccadilly, and Buckingham Palace in the presence of King Charles. Internationally, he has played at venues such as The Fazioli Concert Hall in Venice, The Lithuanian Music Theatre & Academy Hall, and Radziejowice Palace in Poland.

Connor was awarded a place to study piano performance with Valéria Szervánszky at the Purcell School of Music, sponsored by scholarships from the government’s Music and Dance Scheme and the Mackintosh Foundation. He went on to study at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama under the tutelage of Senior Professor of Piano, Joan Havill, where he completed the B.Mus (Hons), Master of Music, Master of Performance postgraduate degrees followed by the Artist Diploma. In recognition of his exceptional final recital, he was awarded the “Concert Recital Diploma”. Connor has also enjoyed working in masterclasses with Stephen Hough, Peter Frankl, and Michel Béroff.

Connor's studies have been supported by scholarships awarded from The Guildhall Trust, Leverhulme Arts Trust, Countess of Munster, and the Alec Beecheno Bursary Award. After his studies at Guildhall, Connor was appointed as a Junior Artist Fellow.

Connor is a member of the International Certificate for Piano Artist where he is mentored by Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri. This year, he will perform as a soloist with the Orchestre Symphonique De Nivelles in celebration of the 30th-anniversary year of the scheme. Connor has been a prize-winner in numerous competitions such as The Wales International Piano Competition, The UK Liszt International Piano Competition, Recondite Armonie Piano Competition, and Worthing Concerto Competition.

He is the co-founder of the prize-winning London Piano Duo alongside pianist Daisy Ou. Together, they curate exciting programs and work closely with other artists to present engaging, accessible, and entertaining recitals. Their recent program, ‘The Life of Saint-Saëns’, with actor Joshua Shea, has toured the UK to acclaim, and they continue to present new and engaging projects together. They are represented by Piha Entertainment and Talent Unlimited.
