Head over to Hanningfield this Easter school holiday to try our brand new family-friendly event- Forestmasters. Join us in the woods and put your skills to the test, where you'll solve puzzles, read the map, discover the clues, and use your brilliant brain out in the woods. Are you up for the challenge?

📍Where do we meet?
Meet on the mound behind the visitor centre.
🥾What should we wear?
Most of our events are fully outdoors, and you need to come dressed for the weather. We recommend layers (top and bottom), which can get mucky. Wellies (with thick socks) and waterproofs are a good shout if you have them.
🌍Where are you based?
We are located in Mid-Essex, local to Chelmsford, Ingatestone, Billericay, Wickford, South Woodham Ferrers, and Basildon.
🚗Is there parking?
Yes. We have a large free car park.
🚇Can we get to you on public transport?
We are accessible by bus, with bus stops outside the centre and 10 minutes away. We are not accessible by train.
🚻Are there toilets?
Toilets are located inside the visitor centre.
☕Is there a Cafe or shop?
The visitor centre has a shop and café serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream, and light lunches.
🐕🦺Can we bring a dog?
Assistance dogs are welcome at our events.
♿Is it wheelchair accessible?
Our reserve pathways are flat and easy to push wheelchairs, but our activities mound can be slippery, which could make it difficult to push wheelchairs up.
