JOIN A 3-HOUR HANDSTAND WORKSHOPCome refine your handstand basics in this varied workshop with Peter Hunter. We will increase control in our freestanding straight handstand, and on top of that foundation we build our skills of shape shifting, pressing hard through the shoulders and perhaps playing with something specific to you in the end of the workshop. Examples of things that have been brought up in past workshops are kip-up from a headstand, one-arm drills and fall-ability. What do you dream of learning? Please come to the workshop with the attitude that your ability to spot handstands and support others is just as important as your own handstand journey.
PREREQUISITE FOR JOINING:
To join the workshop you should be able to hold a handstand against the wall for minimum 10 seconds.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Peter Hunter began handstanding in 2010 after meeting Didier Oberlé, a french circus performer. Within a couple months, Peter's skinny 18-year old body managed to find a bit of balance and he fell in love with the art. Since then his shoulders have widened, and he has continued to learn over the years from many teachers including Yuval Ayalon, Michael Kristiansen and Sunniva Byvard and friends from the Danish parkour community. Peter's style of teaching is playful, undogmatic and movement positive, prioritizing space for many types of goals, skills and body shapes over strict rules and results.
