HANDSTAND SHAPES AND ENTRIES
In this workshop we will explore as many handstand entries and shapes possible, dynamic movements and how to be completely relaxed whilst upside-down.
We will focus on developing solid basic foundations when it comes to entries and shapes, which are a must for progressing for more advanced handstand exercises, such as the one arm handstand.
It’s also suitable for ALL levels.
Beginners who are keen to learn and be embarked in this beautiful upside-down journey and intermediate/advance who would want to learn and discover more.
The shapes and entries we will practise and learn will be:
- The Tuck;
- The small tuck;
- The deep tuck;
- The Straddle;
- The Small straddle;
- The front Split;
- The deep front split;
- The Scissor;
- The head-in variation;
- The Eyes closed variation;
- The Diamond;
- The Crossed legs;
- The Half single leg straddle;
- The Half single leg tuck;
- The bent and straight legs zig-zag;
- The 7/pike
- The Single leg 7;
- The Scorpio;
- The hollow back/mexican, straight and bent single and both legs;
- The straddle and pistol single leg flag;
- Shoulders circles;
- The L;
- The cartwheel;
- handstand sequences.
All of these entries and shapes will be performed both against walls and with spotters.
We will also explore different hands and shoulders positions, Freestanding, spotting, HS sequences and wall exercises.
