About this Event
Join artist Patty Rosenblatt with co-presenter and video collaborator Kathryn Brodie for a special artist talk exploring the evolution of Hands to Earth and the environmental themes that shape Rosenblatt’s practice.
In her Hands to Earth project, participants were invited to bring soil samples from meaningful places and create unfired clay vessels that slowly dissolved back into a sea of wet earth. As the clay dried, hidden messages emerged—reminding us that the fate of the earth is quite literally in our hands.
Her Violins Series will be on display, offering a powerful visual example of her process and material exploration. The afternoon will also feature Kathryn Brodie’s collaborative video documenting the project, adding a rich visual layer to the story behind the work.
We invite you to join us for an engaging afternoon of art, reflection, and dialogue about touch, transformation, and our shared responsibility to the natural world.
