For 2024, this class is PENDING APPROVAL for 3 CEs with the KY Board of SW, LPC, LMFT, ADC and Psychology. CE Certificates are sent via email after training. Full participation is required.
Anxiety Disorders are one of the most common mental health concerns that clinicians encounter. This workshop will help the clinician recognize anxiety disorders in clients and to develop treatment strategies to target and moderate the symptoms that are impacting the client’s quality of life. Information will be provided regarding the parts of the brain that cause anxiety and offer evidence-based treatment strategies including CBT, and strategies to relax and engage the parasympathetic nervous system. Learning will be assisted with handouts and worksheets that can be used in working with clients as well as practicing some of the relaxation techniques during the workshop.
All classes are held at Seven Counties Services on 10401 Linn Station Rd., Ste. 100 from 1:00pm-4:00pm
