Students will be stepping out of the classroom and into action at the Interactive Trades Expo coming up on Friday, May 1 at Timberline Secondary School.Hosted by WorkBC Centre – Campbell River in collaboration with North Island College, School District 71, School District 72, and local industry partners, this hands-on event is back for its second year—bigger, more engaging, and packed with opportunities to explore real career paths.
This isn’t your typical info session. Students will get up close with industry equipment, take part in interactive activities, and connect directly with employers, educators, and skilled trades professionals.
Whether you’re curious about carpentry, mechanics, electrical work, or other in-demand trades, this is your chance to ask questions, try things out, and see what trades careers are really like.
Designed for secondary students considering their next steps, the expo offers a practical, engaging way to discover training options and future job opportunities in the trades.
Interested? Youth in Campbell River and Comox can sign up through their school’s careers office and get ready to start building their future—literally.
