Every day at Eataly, our pastaio, or pasta-makers, transform simple ingredients into intricate pasta shapes inspired by the rich traditions of every Italian region using simple high-quality ingredients. Making fresh pasta may seem daunting, but it is a simple luxury that you can enjoy every day.
Join us at il Pastaio di Eataly Sherway Gardens to focus on learning all the secrets behind gnocchi traditions.
In these intimate workshops, you will be seated at our bar where you’ll learn how to master the craft of gnocchi making from our resident pastaio (pasta maker). You’ll observe as they demonstrate the art and then you’ll try your hand at it, learning some of the greatest generational secrets of the artisanal pasta-making traditions of Italy! Then, savour an antipasto and a gnocchi dish, specially selected and prepared by our Il Pastaio chefs, paired with welcome prosecco and one complementary glass of wine.
You will be surprised at what you can create, making gnocchi at home opens up a whole world of authentic — and surprisingly easy — Italian cooking.
In this class guests will:
- Learn about gnocchi and how to make it at home.
- Make your very own gnocchi from scratch with il Pastaio.
- Sip on wine and learn how to pair the right pasta shapes and sauces.
- Enjoy an antipasto and gnocchi dish prepared by our chef.
- Take home the fresh pasta they have made.
Menu:
- Caprese Salad with welcome prosecco.
- Gnocchi al pomodoro with paired wine.
Nota Bene:
- Check-in is at Eataly Sherway's Il Pastaio restaurant - check-in starts 5 minutes before the start of class, seating is first-come, first-served.
- One ticket purchase is valid for one guest.
- Please note, if purchasing a single ticket, you will be seated at a table for two with another individual. Tickets are individually sold and one ticket will give you access to one seat.
- Please notify us in advance at [email protected] if you have any dietary restrictions and or allergies. If we are not notified ahead of time for any allergies/dietary restrictions, we may not be able to accommodate them.
- All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce valid government-issued identification to prove they are 19 or older.
- Class duration is approximate and may vary by 10-15 minutes.

Payment, refund & cancellation policies
Payment in full is required at the time of registration and all sales are final. No refunds are offered on classes and events. For groups of 4-10 guests, a minimum of 7 days' notice is required to receive a credit in the form of a coupon for a future class or event. For groups of up to 3 guests, a minimum of 2 days' notice is required to receive a credit for a future class or event at La Scuola. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a class or event due to unforeseen circumstances, inclement weather or otherwise. In the event of a class or event cancellation, we will contact you directly at the phone number or email address you have provided to offer a full refund or credit to transfer to a future class or event. While we are not able to offer credit, transfers or refunds for last-minute illnesses, work-related conflicts, personal emergencies or events beyond our control, you are always welcome to send someone in your place, as we understand that these things do happen. If you are purchasing this class or event as a gift, please provide this cancellation policy to the recipient, as the policy will still apply. Credits issued for La Scuola events are redeemable ONLY for future La Scuola events and cannot be used to register for events in other parts of the marketplace or exchanged for store credit or Eataly gift cards.
