About this Event
Hands-On Artistic Workshops with Whit Harris, a multi-disciplinary artist working across drawing, painting, and ceramic media.
This 5 week workshop series invites participants to explore the techniques and storytelling approaches of five groundbreaking artists: Vanessa German, Kara Walker, Chris Ofili, Mark Bradford, and Elizabeth Catlett – through drawing, painting, sculpture, and collage.
Each session focuses on a different artist, uncovering their unique styles and processes while encouraging creative experimentation and personal expression. Whether you’re layering bold paintings like Ofili, carving brilliant sculptures like Catlett, or constructing intricate collages like Walker, these workshops offer a hands-on exploration of diverse artistic techniques. Perfect for artists of all levels, this series celebrates the legacy of these influential artists while offering an engaging space to develop new skills and artistic voices.
