Handmade Fabric Clutch & Tabby Weave Appliqué

Come join us for a fun and creative event where you can learn how to make your very own handmade fabric clutch and tabby weave appliqué! This in-person event will take place at Sequoia Fabrica - SF Community Workshop, 1736 18th St in Potrero Hill. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned crafter, this event is open to adults and kids ages 12 and up. This simple pattern is a blank canvas for your creativity. What we will cover: Parts of the sewing machine and how to use it. The concept and how-to of seam allowance. How to sew corners. How to sew in your lining. The concept and how-to of tabby weaving on a cardboard loom. Sewing tools provided. Fabric and yarn options are limited. Optional materials:

  • Half yard of medium-weight woven cotton fabric (for main bag)
  • Half yard of light-weight woven cotton fabric (for lining)
  • Thread
  • Yarn Skeins
