About this Event
"When wildlife comes to the clinic"
Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary operates Tasmania’s largest 24-hour wildlife rescue service. This innovative service provides safety and care to thousands of animals every year. Due to the growing number of Wildlife Rescue calls and the desperate need for specialist veterinary care solely for wildlife, Bonorong has built Tasmania’s first ever wildlife-only veterinary hospital.
The Wildlife Hospital has now been running for over 3 years and we would love to share the knowledge and expertise we have collectively forged over this time. We have an incredibly dedicated team of veterinary staff who all bring an array of strengths and experience to the group. The Bonorong vet team are passionate about improving welfare outcomes for wildlife in need and increasing the chances of survival through successful treatment and rehabilitation plans.
We would like to invite vets and vet nurses to participate in this seminar, to enhance their skills and confidence with assessing wildlife that may come to your clinic. In this seminar we will discuss several topics, including basic assessment & conscious examination, first aid/first response, Xray positioning and cases when euthanasia should be performed promptly.
We hope to see you all on the 4th of August!
