Workshop Details:This workshop will be led by Torri Lynn Ashford, an artist-in-residence at Popps Packing. Torri is an actor, activist, puppeteer, and teaching artist who has performed with Detroit-based theaters like A Host of People, Matrix Theatre, and PuppetART Theater, to name just a few. She also teaches puppet workshops for Living Arts, Detroit Wolf Trap, and PuppetART Theatre and is a long time company member at the Bread and Puppet Theater in Glover, VT.
During the workshop, participants will create hand puppets using paper mache techniques and explore movement and voice skills to bring their puppets to life. It’s a fun, hands-on, and creative experience for all!
Ages: 7 and up. Adults are welcome too! (Littles must be accompanied by an adult.)
Cost: $0- $125 for 3 day workshop.
Pay what you can /sliding scale.
