So many of us have lampshades stored away that we now longer use ( or they can be purchased cheaply in charity shops) instead of throwing them out, let's add a few tweaks of colour and pattern to give them a new lease of life. Here at Creatively Minded i am always looking to create fabulous statement pieces in ways that don't cost the earth. Upcycling a lampshade involves transforming an old or plain lampshade into something fabulous. It's budget friendly and a super easy way to reuse something that may other wise be thrown away.
During this workshop I will teach you the skill of decoupage and painting onto a lampshade to give it an amazing transformation. It's an opportunity to unleash your creativity!! There will be lots of decoupage papers to choose from and a full spectrum of paint colours to compliment them.
I will guide you through each step and you will have a stunning new statement piece to take home with you.
You will need to provide your own lampshade. Be mindful of size when selecting as we only have two hours to transform it!! a standard bedside lamp size is ideal for this class.
All other materials and equipment will be provided.
£10 per person.
