Summary: This three hour course covers the basics of traditional spoon carving.
Description: Learn spoon carving with traditional Japanese carving tools. The course opens with an explanation of wood types and how to mill lumber down into blanks. The instructor will guide you through designing the spoon and marking the blank, and then teach techniques for carving and finishing. The price of class includes all materials as well as a set of tools that are yours to keep.
This course has no prerequisites

About the instructor:
Lucas Aguilar is a University of Georgia graduate with a major in Studio Art. You can usually find Lucas (also known as Luca) building furniture, welding, or dressing sets. He has two cats and Youtube series called "Hey How's That Work With Luca." Before all of this, he used to fix fancy wristwatches.

What is the refund policy?
A: We will refund any ticket requested for any reason up to 7 days before the course date. If possible we will make every effort to transfer tickets to future course dates if contacted more than 24 hours before the course begins. If the class cannot run as scheduled, purchaser will have the option of a full refund or credit towards ta future class.
