Join us for an evening of exhilarating spoken word with Brighton's longest-running poetry slam at The Tusk Club @ The Walrus.Featuring headliner John McCullough and hosted by Leanne Shorley.
Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.
HOW TO SLAM: Performer Tickets are now SOLD OUT for 6th November. If you'd like to come along as an audience member and be on the slam reserve list, please let us know at the door on the night (often, at least one slammer won't show up, so it's worth a punt). If you are in the slam, please prepare an original poem of 3 minutes or less (no music, no props). Any style, any theme, anything you want! It doesn't have to be memorised and you're more than welcome to read from paper/your phone.
Check out our Instagram to see us in action @hammerandtonguebrighton and feel free to email [email protected] with any questions.
Please be aware the performance space is in a basement which is only accessible via a flight of stairs. There is space to store wheelchairs / a mobility scooter on the ground floor. Assistance dogs are welcome.
