JOIN US FOR A FUN HIKE FOLLOWED BY A SOCIAL AT Southpaw Coffee Bar and Cafe in Georgetown! Here is what to expect:
-12km hike loop suitable for strong beginners and intermediate-level hikers
- yoga stretch sequence at the beginning of the hike to warmup before starting
- forested trails with one river crossing section
- Bruce Trail will have some climbs and descents
- lunch break (bring your own lunch)
- 160m elevation gain
- silent meditation session for 10 minutes
- yoga stretches and mobility movements at the end of the hike
- Bonus: post-hike social (optional)
What you need to bring to every winter hike:
- wear winter hiking boots/winter boots
- gloves, hat, scarf, mittens, etc (dress appropriately for winter hiking and always check the weather before you leave).
- pack at least 8 cups of water
- lunch and snacks
- microspikes in case of ice (I have three extra) (https://www.mec.ca/en/product/5017-316/microspikes-traction-device?fbclid=IwAR1T39J-wa7LyzPfF9CtOFIHi1npi8AyKhWoDu23hqvDG4JRdb-iEx5nXsA) or buy similar off Amazon.
- Optional: hiking poles (I have two extra)
Be prepared for all conditions on trail including ice, snow and mud.
MEETING SPOT:
Park for free at 13807 Trafalgar Rd, Halton Hills, ON
MEETING TIME:
We start at 11:30am. I will guide everyone through a warmup and stretches and then we will start the hike.
POST-HIKE SOCIAL:
(Optional): We'll make a stop at Southpaw Coffee Bar & Cafe for some yummy treats, hot chocolate, etc.

This meetup will be capped at 12 spots. To join, please reserve a spot by sending the meetup fee as outlined below:
Meetup fee:
$25 any time before 6:00pm Thursday
$30 after 6:00pm Thursday
Bring a GUEST for FREE when you sign up for any 5 hike events. Etransfer $150 for 5 hike events and bring a guest for FREE to any hike valued up to $35.
Please note: a one time annual fee of $9.99 applies to everyone's first meetup in 2026.

Cancelation policy:
Meetup fees are final (no refunds). Cancel 3 days before an event for credit towards another event. If the organizer needs to reschedule for any reason, you can use the fee towards another event.
