(THIS IS REGARDING THE NEW HALSEMA TRAILHEAD PARKRUN - Ed Austin Regional parkrun remains unchanged.)Dear Friends, during the run-up to the first edition of the NEW Halsema Trailhead parkrun (which will be held every SATURDAY morning at 7:30am at the Jacksonville-Baldwin Rail Trail on the JAX Westside) there will be two practice "Dummy Runs" at the future venue to get a better understanding of how the facilities and procedures will pan out before Halsema Trailhead parkrun actually goes OFFICIAL on May 25, 2024.
If you are curious about the new Halsema Trailhead parkrun and would like to get a sneak peek of the new venue, come out and join the fun! Also, if you are considering becoming an occasional (or even "core") volunteer, this is a great time to come out to get some no-pressure training, mentored by some of the friendly and experienced folks from Ed Austin Regional parkrun. ?
Please note: this Dummy Run is scheduled for SUNDAY morning, so it doesn't conflict with Ed Austin Regional parkrun or other races. We start a bit later, at 8:30am - so hopefully it will be easier to get out of bed! ?
