Halloween Island 2025

A plus-size social group in the Rio Grande Valley that empowers and promotes acceptance and inclusion through plus-size parties, community events, and random meet-ups. This year, Thickness Overload is throwing the very first Plus-size friendly Halloween weekend in South Padre Island. This weekend will consist of a beach day, two pool parties, Halloween Party, a scavenger hunt and a club night.

Info: What a better way to start Halloween with lunch by the beach? Bring your chair or rent a chair and umbrella with the hotel ($40.00) and enjoy lunch. Lunch will be provided by Thickness Overload. Games will be set up and music will be playing.

Info: Who will you be? a ghoul in red? or a Witch in black? No matter which Halloween deity you wish to be, make sure you bring on your best pool attire with accessories for there will be a contest!

Info: It is time! Bring on your Halloween Costume game on! For there will be a Costume Contest, who will you be? A hero? a villain? a historical figure? musical character? Disney character?

Info: Want to keep the party going in your costume? Let's head out to JJ's Party Barn!

Info: Let's enjoy some breakfast before we split into teams and start the Scavenger hunt! (Restaurant will be named at a later date)

Info: And go! Your team must find all six items on your list, all items are scattered around South Padre Island. Will your team be the first to get all items and reach the finish line?

Info: Wear your brightest swim swear! In honor of Day of Dead, we want you to bring out the colors of this cultural event. We will provide the accessories.
