Halloween Happenings in Riverside 2025

Each year, Riverside businesses and community organizations host spook-tacular Halloween events. This year we are once again joining forces to bring you a variety of fun and safe activities for Halloween over the week of Oct 24th to Nov 1st!

So dress up and join in the fun!!

What's in Store and How to Take Part:

• GET YOUR FREE TICKET to let us know you're coming and get any updates to your inbox!
• DANCE PARTY - Fri Oct 24th - (drop-in) from 10:30 am -11:30 am on 2nd Floor Ralph Thornton Community Centre: Wear your favourite costume, and join us for a fun Halloween Dance Party! We will dance to some classic Halloween tunes,along with a few fun children's songs! For children with their caregivers. Presented by the South Riverdale Child-Parent Centre and Queen/Saulter Library.
• FAMILY CRAFTY HALLOWEEN - Sat Oct 25th - Family Crafty Halloween (drop-in) from 2 pm-3 pm in the Queen/Saulter Library: Create your own spooky Halloween craft to take home! All materials provided. For pre-school and school-aged children and their caregivers.
• - Sun Oct 26th - 11am-3pm in Joel Weeks Park (10 Thompson St). Enjoy Free Pumpkin Patch, Treats, Face Painting, Photo Booth Dog Costume Party, a local vendors market and more surprises! Get your costumes ready for the spook-tacular annual Riverside Halloween Fest with tons of activities for the whole family (including pets). More details and FREE tickets HERE

• HOWL'O'WEEN PARTY - Tues Oct 28th - 3:30 pm -5:30 pm in the Ralph Thornton Community Centre (765 Queen St E). Calling all little ghouls and goblins! Get ready for a fun-filled Halloween celebration that’s going to be a treat (free treat bags, while quantities last!). For children and their caregivers. Presented by the Ralph Thornton Community Centre, South Riverdale Child-Parent Centre, and Queen/Saulter Toronto Public Library Branch.
• DEGRASSI PUMPKIN PARADE - Saturday, November 1st | 6pm-8pm at Degrassi Street Park (125 De Grassi St): One last time to let your jack ‘o lantern shine! Bring your pumpkins out to Degrassi Street Park, take part in a community pumpkin parade, and leave your pumpkin for composting by the City of Toronto.

This year's festivities are presented by the Riverside BIA, the Ralph Thornton Community Centre, the TPL Queen/Saulter Library Branch, the South Riverdale Child-Parent Centre, and the City of Toronto.
