100 points, 2 lists, MK4 Prime Arena (lists should be built using Prime Mk4 Armies or Prime Armies of Legend (formerly known as “Prime Legacy”). Message the organizers or post here in the event invite if you have any questions.
Setup starts when the shop opens (10 am), and round 1 begins as soon as possible after that (approximately 10:30). Plan for 3 rounds and a lunch break (so ending when the shop closes at 6 pm). All scenarios are selected at random prior to each round.
We’ll use Longshanks for list submission and round selection. If you’re unfamiliar with it, we can walk through that morning.
$10 entry fee at the door. All cash goes toward prizes (HFX store credit):
-1st and 2nd place (first tiebreaker is Strength of Schedule, followed by control points; we are NOT using Top Table variant)
-We're going on a bear hunt!: At the beginning of the tournament, once all lists are visible, but before the first matchup has been assigned, choose one option described below to score Bear Hunt points. Double the Bear Hunt points scored by models/units with Prowl or Stealth (because it's best to go in disguise!). If you can reasonably justify to your opponent and/or the general mob attending the event why the model is a bear, it is a bear. It might be an actual bear. It might be a standard/rune/icon bear-er. It might be someone wearing a bear pelt. The player with the highest Bear Hunt score in a single game (not the total score across all three games) wins this award.
- If you go down to the woods today: During each game, you get a Bear Hunt point for each "bear" model that you destroyed/removed from play.
- Teddy bear picnic: At the beginning of the game, before the start of the attacker's first turn, choose a "bear" model/unit. You score one Bear Hunt point for each control point scored by that model/unit during the game.
-2 random draws for anyone that did not win a game-based prizes. If we have odd matchups these will be restricted to players that received a Bye round
