SYNOPSIS
Welcome to Stewiacke, Nova Scotia—proudly (and almost) halfway between the Equator and the North Pole. At the local diner, four women share coffee, laughs, and the daily dramas of small-town life. But when Dr. Sean Merritt arrives from Toronto for a short-term medical posting, he stirs up more than just conversation—especially for Janine, the guarded waitress who’s learned not to get her hopes up.
Written by Norm Foster, Canada’s most produced playwright, Halfway There is a warm and witty comedy full of sharp dialogue, tender moments, and unexpected turns. It’s a story about friendship, change, and the people who help us find our way—whether we’re ready or not.
