About this Event
Halftime for Heart is a fundraising event designed to raise awareness about the importance of heart health while honoring the legacy of Jackson-Reed alumni, Coach Chris Cheeks, a dedicated mentor and advocate for minority youth. Proceeds will support two causes: a scholarship for a graduating Jackson-Reed varsity boy’s basketball senior attending college in 2025, and a donation to the Black Heart Association (BHA), a nonprofit focused on health equity.
In addition to a donation, we invite you to join us at the Jackson-Reed High School's Boys' Varsity basketball game against Cardoza High School on January 22, 2025 at 7:30 pm, where you can learn about heart health, get a free heart screening, and support your team of choice during our Halftime for Heart “halftime” basketball challenge!
By agreeing to aid in the fight against heart disease, you are also agreeing to be a part of a long-standing legacy and honor a significant member of your community. We appreciate your support and hope to see you there! Go Tigers!
Note: Game tickets can be purchased at the door with cash only. Donation tickets do not include entry into the game, any tickets purchased for this event via this website are solely for donations.
