In this teen collage workshop, create a split portrait! One side is realistic, the other side is filled with thoughts, words, and your inner world. Cut, layer, and express what makes you, you! Students are encouraged to look beyond the surface and tell a deeper story about who they are.
Julia Virginia Win is a New Jersey based reuse artist, muralist and educator whose work transforms discarded or donated materials into large-scale public art installations and mixed-media artworks. Working under JVWcreates, she specializes in recycled and reclaimed materials, such as plastic bottle caps, bread tags, and other single-use plastics, to highlight themes of sustainability, collective action, and environmental stewardship. Julia’s work has been exhibited and commissioned throughout New Jersey, including permanent public installations in Metuchen, Woodbridge, Highland Park and the Middlesex Greenway. She was the winner of the Middlesex County Mural Design Contest in 2023. In addition to her studio practice, Julia is a dedicated educator with a Master of Education and extensive experience leading recycled art workshops and youth programs.
