What is Hack the Future?
Hack the Future is a hands-on educational event series, hosted nationwide for community members to learn about the essentials of using AI tools, including safety and privacy risks. We aim to provide a beginner-friendly introduction on how to use AI tools as well as potential safety and privacy risks.
This event is free and open to the public. No technical background is needed. We encourage attendees to bring their own computers, but we will have Chromebooks available for use during the event.
Hack the Future: Houston is presented by SeedAI, in collaboration with the University of Houston’s CougarAI, Texas Southern University’s Tiger Data Science Club, and Houston Community College’s Computer Science Association.
You should attend if you are interested in:
- Artificial Intelligence, especially beginners as we will have educational resources for people from non-technical backgrounds
- Using AI chatbots such as ChatGPT or Google Gemini
- Leveraging AI for workplace efficiency, community-based projects, or personal/creative pursuits
- Understanding safety and privacy risks associated with AI
- Participating in the research and testing of consumer AI tools
- Learning about AI with the support of a beginner-friendly and human-centered community
