A guided tour about the colonial history of the city of Haarlem. Our guides seek out the special lesser-known places of the city. People who were involved in slavery in many ways are discussed such as a famous painter an enslaved person a beer brewer and a plantation owner. Even Haarlem's extensive textile industry was intertwined with the colonial past. Walk along with one of our knowledgeable guides to look at the (in)visible traces of this history. En route there is plenty of opportunity for dialogue. Together you will discover a different side of the city.
