Suggestions / Rules
1. Buddy up. Everyone needs to have at least one partner who will stay with you.
2. Please wear reflective clothing and lighted vests to be seen and to celebrate the season.
3. Use sidewalks and crosswalks wherever possible.
4. Please run no more than two abreast and get out of the way of oncoming traffic.
5. Stay with the group until we cross Betton then regroup up at Dorothy B. Oven Park.
6. Route is 2.2 miles up and 2.0 miles back for most of us. Alternate routes are possible (TBD on Run night)
7. Be extra careful when crossing Hermitage Blvd. Don’t let drivers “right hook” you when heading north on Thomasville Road.
8. Watch for uneven sidewalk especially on Thomasville Road.
9. When you are heading north to Oven Park, be sure to look for drivers turning right from Thomasville Road.
10. When heading south back to Winthrop Park, stay on Thomasville Road all the way back and be sure to look for cars pulling out of driveways and side streets. They rarely look right, only left, when pulling out.
