About this Event
This event seeks to highlight the ever-growing use (and at times exploitation) of traditional South Asian fashion textiles, artisanship, and traditions in the Western world. Through showcasing these garments and practices, we hope to bring awareness to the origins of many of the aspects of fashion that enthusiasts know and love. Our fashion show, in collaboration with GW Fashion and Business Association, invites students and faculty to take part in viewing and discussing the garments displayed. We hope to create an environment in which everyone present walks away having learned something new, while also enjoying the show and glamour of a full-fledged runway show!
