Paint Klimt using Japanese Painting materials with a drink from 92 Degrees included with your ticket.During this specially themed workshop we will explore how Gustav Klimt was inspired by Japanese painting and fuse together/reinterpret Klimt's work using Japanese painting materials which lend themselves to Klimt's style perfectly!
Learn from an experienced local artist Ula Fung who has been teaching painting for over 15 years with the past 6 of those being here in Manchester, She'll teach you how to paint using bamboo brushes, sumi ink, Gansai Tambi 顔彩耽美 (Traditional Japanese colours) and gold leaf. We'll be painting onto Golden Rice Paper Boards.
We will bring along a variety of specially selected references from the works of Gustav Klimt that suit the style of the mediums used in the workshop.
This painting class is suitable for beginners as well as those with a little more artistic experience, so don't worry if it's your first time. The workshop will begin with a short demonstration from our teacher to help you get going, she will then be at hand to provide further guidance throughout.
At the end of your art class, you'll get the chance to stand back and admire your work or you can share your experiences with the group. You'll head home with your new piece of work and a new skill that's perfect to practice whenever you're looking to clear your head.
