GUNSHINE — Florida swamp rock, lethal live show, and right before the album drops. Newcomer SaintSix of Iowa City to open.
The album drops July 24. Until then, the band is still playing rooms this size.
Gunshine — Florida swamp rockers, Las Vegas-cut record, lethal live show — bring their Grand Rising tour through The Ideal Theater & Bar in NewBo on Wednesday, June 10. The album lands six weeks later. This is the room where it gets to be loud first.
Fronted by Jordan Benson (a distant cousin to Elvis, and yes, you'll hear it the moment he opens his mouth) and built around the guitar of Austin Ingerman — who you may also recognize from New Years Day — the band carries the swagger of Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, and the old Sunset Strip, with songs that are entirely their own. Production by Chris Collier (Korn, Whitesnake, Mick Mars) translates straight to the live floor. Expect choruses you'll catch on the second pass and a rhythm section that doesn't negotiate.
Saintsix opens.
