Gull Rock National Park Trail Ride9.30 am meet for a 10am start. Get there earlier if you need more time to prepare.
Where:
Meet at the corner of Ledge Beach Road and Gull Rock Road in Gull Rock National Park
How cool that we are totally legit to ride in Gull Rock National Park! Its all part of the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions making the conservation estate more accessible. With this comes our responsibility as users. We have to take good care of this wonderful place.... So, a few things:
1. Clean your horses feet out before you come so that we reduce the risk of introduction and spread of dieback
2. Come armed to remove horse manure from the parking area so that you can take it home with you...
Parking: We are meeting at: https://maps.app.goo.gl/nJGyvw4smK7EKJne8
That is, the corner of Ledge Beach Road and Gull Rock Road. We'll be driving in Gull Rock Road and using the Ledge Beach Road turn off to turn around and park our floats along Gull Rock Road (facing north). We can't use the gravel pit as it is too small and boggy.
Distance and Description: 16.5 km with option to do 7.5 km. Some of the ride is on a gravel road with good soft shoulders. Most of the ride is firm sand. Boots recommended for tender footed horses. Lovely bush, Oyster Harbour and a long sandy rise are the key features.
Trailboss: Melanie Price
Bring: your lunch to carry with you. We can stop on the edge of Oyster Harbour to eat.
RSVP: Please do not RSVP via Facebook! RSVP TO: Mel Price 0447446343.
