About this Event
This one-day summit brings together upper middle school and high school students who are ready to make a difference in their schools and communities. Spend the day connecting with like-minded peers, hearing from inspiring speakers, and taking part in hands-on workshops that focus on:
- Environmental action and justice through connection to water and land
- Climate mental health and resilience
- Creative expression through writing and art
You’ll explore how your unique strengths, voice, and experiences can be powerful tools for positive change in your community. You will also have a chance to meet our Gulf Youth Ambassadors from across the Gulf as well as community members and their organizations.
About Gulf Reach Institute
The Gulf Reach Institute (GRI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to develop and implement programs focused on STEM Education for All, the Health of our Gulf and Ocean communities, Connection of Youth to Land and Water, and Advocacy. Based in Corpus Christi, Texas, GRI is an international leader that meets the educational and professional needs of underserved populations of learners and professionals through innovative programming in the Gulf states, including Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida, as well as Mexico and beyond.
