POLLINATOR WEEK TREE, SHRUB & WILDFLOWER GIVEAWAY!
Celebrate Pollinator Week 2026 by planting native plants to support bees, butterflies and other wildlife.
TREE AND SHRUB GIVEWAY (MAXIMUM 4 PER HOUSEHOLD): Native trees and shrubs are critical to the survival of our birds, insects and wildlife, providing shelter and food throughout the seasons. They are equally important in helping us increase our tree canopy in Toronto, which improves the air quality and environment for all of us. Trees come in 1- 2 gallon buckets and are small enough to carry on the TTC or sit in the back of a car.
This fantastic event comes to you courtesy of Friends of Guild Park, the Guildwood Butterflyway Project, the Guildwood Village Community Association, and the City of Toronto's Urban Forestry Department. Our native tree and shrub giveaway is open to all residents of Toronto. All trees and shrubs must be planted on private property within the City of Toronto boundaries.
PRE-ORDERING IS REQUIRED AND SUPPLIES ARE LIMITED! Please note that this giveaway is subject to availability and quantities are limited. Order early to ensure that you receive the trees or shrubs that you want. We have "sold out" every year, so advance orders are a must!
Please go to the red "Reserve a Spot" button to make your selections (MAXIMUM OF 4 TREES AND/OR SHRUBS PER HOUSEHOLD) and place your order BEFORE MAY 15th. Order early to ensure that you are able to reserve the plants you want.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Please do not order more than 4 trees and shrubs in total! If you do, your order will be cancelled.
- There is a MAXIMUM of two trees or shrubs per species! Please don't create separate orders to get more!
- The pick up location will be Guild Park & Gardens, 201 Guildwood Parkway in Scarborough. We will be in touch confirming the pickup process and further details a week in advance of the pickup date. Trees and shrubs must be picked up on Saturday June 13th between 10 am and 1 pm and we cannot hold them for later pick up or make any alternate arrangements.
WILDFLOWER GIVEAWAY
We are so grateful to the Toronto Chapter of Landscape Ontario for their generous support of our wildflower giveaway! Native wildflowers are fantastic additions to any garden and provide important support for butterflies, bees and other wildlife throughout the year. This event is on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last on June 13/26 between 10 am and 1 pm. Each attendee is entitled to two plants (one for each hand) so bring the kids and learn about what you can do to create a healthy ecosystem in your own backyard!
FOOD BANK DONATIONS WELCOMED!
Help us support local food banks! We will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Daily Bread Food Bank on June 13th and would welcome your donations. The need has never been greater.
