Our autumn walks start with a visit to the lost village of Pwll Du and the entrance to the tunnel through the mountain to Blaenavon and then the circuit of Gilwern Hill. A walk of about 8 km (5 miles), with a couple of steep ascents (and descents), and some parts can be quite muddy in wet weather, but walkable with appropriate footwear etc. Weather permitting, we'll enjoy spectacular views over the Usk valley and Clydach gorge and possibly birds of prey such as Buzzard, Kestrel, Peregrine and Red Kite plus Raven aerobatics.
