The Contemporary Art Centre (CAC) invites visitors to explore two exhibitions currently on view:➡️ ‘Bells and Cannons. Contemporary Art in the Face of Militarisation’, a large-scale group exhibition presented across the Great Hall, North Hall, Cinema Hall, Reading Room and Basement Hall. Curators: Virginija Januškevičiūtė, Valentinas Klimašauskas
➡️ ‘Father’, a solo exhibition by Mykolas Valantinas in the South Hall. Curator: Povilas Gumbis.
Guided tours offer an excellent way to gain a concise introduction to the ideas behind both exhibitions, which are distinct in form yet overlap thematically. They act as an exercise for the eye and mind, encouraging not only observation but also engagement with the artworks, their choreography and the stories they tell.

👋 Tour guide:
MARTYNAS PEKARSKAS – a visual artist whose practice encompasses painting, drawing, and installation. His work explores themes of visuality, time, and imagination, as well as processes in contemporary art. He also works as an exhibition consultant and guide at the CAC.
ROBERT ILGEN – architect and scenographer, co-founder of the studio ‘TAKTAK Architecture+Scenography’.
